By this time, you already know that the ranks are allotted according to candidates’ percentile. This implies, if two candidates obtain the same percentile, they have the same rank. To redress this situation, a tiebreaker strategy is utilized. The merit is prepared while adhering to the tiebreaker criteria. The below-mentioned steps are followed subsequently to break the tie.

1. Marks in biology

one’s biology marks are considered. A candidate who has obtained more marks in the Biology section will gain more preference over the other one with a lesser score.

2. Marks in Chemistry

If marks in biology are the same for both, then the chemistry marks are compared for candidates with a tie. One who has more marks in chemistry will gain priority.

3. Number of Wrong Answers

If the 1st two criteria result in a tie, then the candidate with the least number of wrong answers is offered a higher rank

4. Age

If after applying all the above comparisons, the tie stays unbroken, then the older candidate will gain a higher rank
